Kemper Profiler PowerRack Modeling Rack Amplifier Head (600 Watts) Review

Kemper Profiler PowerRack Modeling Rack Amplifier Head (600 Watts) Review

Ready for your rack, the Kemper Profiler gives you the tone of classic tube amplifiers. Or sample your favorite amp with its incredible profiling technology.

Kemper Profiler PowerRack Modeling Rack

The Kemper Profiler PowerRack Modeling Guitar Amplifier adds a built in 600 Watt power amp to the Kemper Profiler and packs it into a rackmountable unit for stage and studio use. With the Profiler PowerRack you get all the profiling capabilities and massive versatility of the Profiler but with a high quality power section that allow for playing through regular guitar cabinets or full range monitor systems.

The 600 Watt Class D amplifier was carefully selected for the guitar amplification system to guarantee utmost performance. After extensive listening tests, a lot of measuring and looking thoroughly at the typical sonic behavior of power amps for guitar amplification on the market, it became clear that only the best components are capable of delivering impressive results.

What is Profiling?

'Profiling' is what Kemper has named their proprietary technology that captures the sound and feel of a specific tube amplifier. In other words, the Kemper Profiler PowerRack doesn't simply give you a list of static digital amplifier reproductions. Instead, profiling creates a vivid, living, dynamic and multi-dimensional image of your existing tube amp.

Profiling is as simple as plugging your tube amp into the Kemper Profiler PowerRack amp and pressing 'record.' Just insert the Kemper Profiling amplifier into the recording chain and it will do its magic. Test signals will be sent from the Kemper Profiler PowerRack guitar amp into your tube amp and recorded by the microphone in front of your cabinet.

You don't even have to play your guitar. After less than a minute the Kemper Profiling Amplifier acquires the sonic DNA of your tube amp and offers you the resulting custom profile. You can then use the A/B comparison mode to compare original tube amp sound with the profiled sound for a fast and convenient way to make final tweaks to the profile to get it exactly right. Now you can take that sweet vintage tube amp sound wherever you go!

Enjoy the great profiles and rigs that come with it

They were created by professional guitarists, engineers and producers in studios all over the world. Right out of the box, you will find classic tones of studio standards as well as profiles of highly sought-after amplifiers, some costing many times the price of the Kemper Profiler PowerRack.

The growing library

Kemper will be working tirelessly to create profiles for you to download for free from their website. All the profiles they create are extracted from real amplifiers and cabinets, each with a distinct personality of its own.

Create your own profiles from your own amps

If you happen to have access to tube amps, feel free to make your own profiles. You will probably feel more familiar with profiles of your own gear, than with those other people have made. If you are tracking in a studio, you should profile the guitar amps that you record with. Later, you simply take these profiles with you and know that you can recreate the exact sound of the recording, both in the rehearsal studio and live on stage.

Amp Controls

The Kemper Profiler PowerRack Amplifier includes the standard Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Presence controls that you would expect from a guitar amplifier. However, in contrast to many vintage amps, Kemper has kept the gain control neutral, so you are able to find the sweet spot of your amp, and run this optimal sound at any gain level.

Now, imagine if you could change the sonic character of a profile way beyond what's possible with the amp itself. What if you could change the sonic age of the amp, or the bite of the pick? What if you could modify the power supply of your profiled amp in order to benefit from power sagging or be larger than life? With the Kemper Profiling Amplifier guitar amp processor, you can!

Kemper allows you to dynamically adjust key aspects of your favorite amps which would otherwise be impossible or require hardware modifications. You can do anything from minor tweaks, such as making your Marshall Bluesbreaker profile sound a bit more vintage, to more radical changes such as adding some modern high gain chunk to your vintage Fender Bassman.

Control way beyond the usual:

- The Amp Definition parameter determines whether the Profile leans more towards a vintage or modern character. Increase this parameter to intensify the touch response of the virtual tubes.
- The Power Sagging parameter lets the tubes breathe with your playing; damped strings will have more 'chug,' and clean, picked notes will cut through better when you reduce your playing volume.
- The Pick parameter controls the attack of your pick independently of the gain setting-even through heavy distortion. This innovative parameter lets you decouple your pick sound from the natural compression of the distorting tubes and cut right through the mix.
- The Amp Compressor will sustain the clean guitar when you play soft, but lets the distorted sound through, unprocessed, when you revert back to normal playing volume.
- The Cabinet Voicing parameters give you access to the guts and the character of the cabinet. You can change the size of your virtual cabinet, tune the bass resonance or control the tonal character in a creative way

Taylor 214ce Deluxe Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar (with Case) Review

The Taylor 214ce Grand Auditorium gets the Deluxe treatment with ES2 Expression System 2 pickups, a full-gloss finish, and a Taylor hardshell case included.

Sweet Taylor Tone and Playability -- With a Few Deluxe Upgrades!

Based on Taylor's overwhelmingly popular Grand Auditorium 214ce, the Taylor 214ce Deluxe acoustic-electric guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top, layered rosewood or Hawaiian koa back and sides, a sapele neck topped with an ebony fretboard, a Venetian cutaway, and Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics. "Deluxe" upgrades include a full-gloss finish and included Taylor hardshell case. Pick one up, and you'll see how Taylor's 200 series guitars have created a new standard in the world of acoustic-electric axes!

Taylor's 200 Series Acoustic-Electric Guitars

Taylor has raised the bar in playability and the ability to capture and project the warmth and resonance of choice tonewoods. The 200 series features acoustic-electrics built with Sitka spruce tops, and layered rosewood, koa, or sapele back and sides. They are as mesmerizing to look at as they are to play and hear. The 214ce Deluxe is crafted in Taylor's most popular body shape -- the Grand Auditorium -- which delivers even and balanced tone from deep lows to crisp highs.

Sitka Spruce and Layered Indian Rosewood or Hawaiian Koa Body

To provide each note with warm resonance and lingering sustain, the 214ce Deluxe boasts a Sitka spruce top your choice of a layered Indian rosewood or Hawaiian koa back and sides. Sitka spruce is a strong and resilient wood that ages well and holds up strongly to scratches and scuffs, and it brings a sharp crispiness to your playing. Layered rosewood maintains an even tone with balanced highs and lows, while Hawaiian koa, a tropical wood, keeps your tones bright and warm, and tends to mellow over time. These woods maintain their resonance and warmth throughout the years so you can be sure that you'll be playing this acoustic-electric for a long time.

Supremely Playable Sapele Neck

Wrap your hands around this guitar's comfortable sapele neck and you'll experience the incredible playability that Taylor's 200 series axes have to offer. A super-smooth ebony fingerboard is inviting to the touch, and each of this appendage's 20 frets harness a tight action that's tough to beat. The Venetian cutaway on your 214ce Deluxe's body gives you easy access to those higher frets when you want to kick things up a notch or two during solos and crispy licks. Taylors are known for their playability, and the 214ce Deluxe is certainly no exception!

Features:

- Solid Sitka spruce top
- Layered Indian rosewood OR Hawaiian koa backs and sides
- Sapele neck with ebony fretboard
- Venetian cutaway
- Taylor Expression System 2 electronics
- Full-gloss finish
- Hardshell case included

"Best Acoustic Guitar I ever owned."
Overall: I am a professional musician. I have owned many guitars throughout my life, as I've been playing for 41 years. This is by far, the best acoustic guitar I have ever owned. It comes just as they promise. Straight out of the box, begging to be played. I did have to change the strings, as I require the super light strings. 9 to 42. But I hesitated changing the strings. These come with Elixir strings. You cannot do better. Totally worth the money. And the Taylor Hard Shell case is top notch.
Style of Music: Contemporary Christian. From Country, to hard Rock. We do it all.

Overall: Got this 214ce using Zzounds 12 pay plan and could not be any happier. The guitar was setup and played perfect straight from the box. You cannot go wrong with Taylor quality. My only reservation when ordering was that this guitar is said to be best for those who pick rather than strum and I am mainly just a strummer type. I found that the tone is perfect for strumming, maybe a little lighter tone than say, a Martin, when unplugged, but still sounds great and when plugged in the onboard tone adjustments allow you to add enough bass to get that deeper tone through your amp. I have barely put this thing down since I got it and it has rekindled my guitar playing. You cannot go wrong here!

Overall: I purchased this guitar, my first Taylor, blind after watching a few YouTube videos and doing a bit of research. I wanted a cutaway electric acoustic that would project well without an amp. I have to admit, when I first received this I wasn’t sure if I’d made the right choice. It is a beautiful guitar and plays very nicely. The more I played however the more it grew into the expectations I had when I purchased it. I think that maybe the new strings just needed to be broken in. The tone is amazing and it really shines finger style. However that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sound great any other play styles. Overall the tone is beautiful, the guitar looks great especially with the all gloss finish, and the case is comes with is top notch. You definitely get what you pay for on this one. If you’re on the edge about adding this one to your collection, just pull the trigger. You won’t be disappointed.

Pearl EX725SPC Export Drum Kit, 5-Piece

Your Starter Kit Awaits....

Entry-level drummers need a kit that is not only easy to play, but also one that will last them a very long time -- like the 5-piece Pearl EX725SPC Export.

Pearl EX725SPC Export Drum Kit, 5-Piece

http://bit.ly/5pcdrumkit
The Pearl Export was the best selling drum set in history, and it's finally back with the EX725SPC Drum Kit! The return of the Export series automatically puts Pearl back on the map for the best-sounding entry-level drum set. The Export sets use Pearl's SST, Superior Shell Technology, Opti-Loc tom mounts, the HWP-830 hardware with a P-930 Demonator pedal, and your choice of finishes.

The Pearl Export Lugs have a bold modern look that has a slightly mixed look, giving tribute to Pearl drums of the past. In the pursuit of maximum resonance and sustain, Pearl Export's lugs have a low mass and minimal shell interaction. The Opti-Loc mounting system gives you perfect stability without restricting the resonance. The mounting system has a triangular design with two available attachment points for tension rods. There is another tension rod mounting point in one of the drum's two air vents. For maximum sustain and wobble free performance, Pearl has put rubber isolators at all connection points, allowing the drums to vibrate freely.

Sound quality cannot be sacrificed, and with that policy in mind, Pearl blended premium poplar with rich Asian Mahogany for a full-body, deeper and richer sound. This shell puts the Pearl Export in its own class because of the expert arrangement of premium plies of wood. All Pearl drum shells are formed through the SST process, requiring extreme heat, precision cut scarf joints, Acoustiglue and over 1000 pounds of hydraulic pressure.
